Blur To Make Documentary of Their Journey to Fame
Blur are set to make their very own documentary.
The band members, Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree, have announced that they will make a movie of their rise to fame, followed by details of their 2003 split and finally, their more recent reunion.
A source for the band spoke to a British Tabloid newspaper:
“Everyone in the Blur camp is really excited. There’s plenty of material to fit in – their first five years of struggle, their Britpop heyday with all the drinking and their gradual and bitter demise.”
Sounds like it could be an interesting one to watch!
Blur frontman, Damon Albarn, also revealed that it was sentimentality with the help of YouTube that eventually brought the band back together.
“I went online and watched a load of our old stuff just to remind myself what we were like. It just felt it was right again“, said lead singer, Damon Albarn.
Guitarist Graham Coxon also got a little reminiscent of the bands hay days, “I encountered that magic of Blur performances again through sites like YouTube.”
The foursome are now in full swing of performing again with numerous performances planned for the summer festivals, including headlining slots at Glastonbury, T In The Park and the Oxegen Festival this summer.
