New Green Day Album, Tour

Green Day is finishing up its next release, 21st Century Breakdown, the band’s first album in five years, when American Idiot was unleashed on the world.

Produced by Butch Vig, the album is broken down into three acts of these concepts: “Heroes and Cons,” “Charlatans & Saints,” and “Horseshoes & Handgrenades.” Which means…this is probably another social commentary-soaked album from the band – the songs as previewed by Billboard.com display an array of religion, war and good old-fashioned love.

According to Billie Joe Armstrong on the album’s title track, “My generation is zero / I’d never make it as a working class hero.

Whatever, dude. My generation can’t figure out why yours won’t just go away.

Anyway – the album is due out in May. Green Day will of course be promoting the album via a tour of North America that is to begin in July, and afterward the band will head over to Europe to spread their nonsensical pessimism. Green Day already has plans for next year, too, when they will hit Japan, Southeast Asia, and South America before doing another set of North American shows.

Obviously, they’re taking a few cues from Madonna to get the green.

They look fantastically —– uhmm.. i dunno what to say! Hahha.. I love their creative concepts thougha and it seems that the concept will be really successful. If they pass by here, maybe I can see them in that European tour.

Green Day has always stepped up to the plate and delivered. From 1,039 to Dookie to Warning. They’ve always expressed greatness and versatility in their ability to create a great album. I am definitely looking forward to what they’ve come up with.

Front row center for the 13th year in a row? Of course.
