New Flo Rida Album
Rapper Flo Rida did not waste any time coming up with a follow-up to last year’s debut album, Mail on Sunday. His new album is to be titled R.O.O.T.S. (Routes of Overcoming the Struggle), and is due out on Poe Boy/Atlantic on April 7.
The first single will be the song “Right Round,” which was inspired by Dead or Alive’s hit single “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).” Flo Rida’s future single can currently be heard on the rapper’s MySpace page, as well as his official website.
This time around the album has a list of collaborators, including DJ Montay (who worked with Flo Rida on the single and hit “Low”), Dr. Luke, and J Rock. “Low” moved 4.4 million digital downloads last year, beating out Leona Lewis’s “Bleeding Love,” which had previously been reported to be the biggest digital seller of 2008, selling 3.37 music files.
