Jermaine Dupri Clears the Air
Jermaine Dupri, 36, has come forward to announce that not only is Janet Jackson, 42, not pregnant, but that the longtime couple has not split up. Got that?
When Life & Style ran a story with the headline “Janet Jackson Tells Friends: Yes, I’m Pregnant!” Thursday, the producer felt the need to come forward to rebuke the rumors on his blog (which is fast becoming the tool of choice for celebrity rebuttal). He wrote (in all caps): “No she is not pregnant and yes we’re still together. It baffles me how yall let these blog [sic] and magazines control your lifes [sic] that’s why I created global14.com so when ever hear [sic] shit about me you can come right here and get the truth.”
When Janet postponed some of her Rock Witchu Tour dates, rumors of her pregnancy spread fast – starting back in October. Though she did make up a few on the cancelled dates, Jackson’s doctors were recommending rest and relaxation for the star, who was suffering from headaches.
Jackson reportedly told US Weekly at an earlier date: “I’d love to have children. It’s just up to Jermaine, what he wants to do.”
