Eminem Pissed Enough to Make New Album
We all know by now that Eminem doesn’t make music unless he’s enraged – which is exactly what he is, according to an email interview with Billboard. Tracks from his new album, now titled Relapse, have been leaked onto the Internet – specifically the most recent Crack a Bottle – and Eminem is said to be “heated”.
The track, he says, wasn’t yet finished, leaving Em feeling pathetically exposed. (He told Billboard: “It’s like someone catches you peeping in your window before you got the Spider Man costume all zipped up!”)
Also revealed was the fact that Eminem wasn’t working with Swizz Beats on the album (though the producer reported that he’d offered a track for the project) – most of the production on the album is done by Dr. Dre. Just like old times.
During production for the album, Eminem also beat out his autobiography (with the help of writer Sacha Jenkins). Like everything Eminem does, the book received nice-y reviews and even was a New York Times bestseller for a period. In the book, The Way I Am, the rapper goes into detail on the ’06 shooting of his friend the Detroit rapper Proof.
Em also reports that 50 Cent’s album will in fact finally be released in February.
