Amy Winehouse Disappoints At V-Festival

Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse‘s performance at the V-Festival was a wash-out to say the least…and no it had nothing to do with the fact that the rain poured down during her short set.

The singer’s band arrived on stage 20 minutes late to the V-Stage in Staffordshire, to a chorus of boos from the crowds and then proceeded to do absolutely nothing. The band reportedly stood there in “limbo” staring at the crowd for several minutes waiting for Ms Winehouse herself to grace the stage with her presence.

Winehouse eventually did make it into the stage, only to further unsettle fans by dedicating her first song of the evening, “Wake Up Alone”, to her prison-bound husband Blake Fielder-Civil -  a move which wasn’t exactly met with a warm reception.

Winehouse managed to greet the crowd with “Hello, alright?”, and trying to lighten the mood telling the crowds:

How you feeling, listen you look gorgeous in waterproofs, I’m telling you, you all look gorgeous.”

Throughout the gig, Winehouse toyed with her white guitar but left her band to do the playing, whilst chopping and changing the set list to accommodate for the lost 20 minutes.

Winehouse rattled her way through her well-known tracks including Rehab and Valerie, before thanking the crowd and departing the stage.

Afterwards, fans seemed unimpressed by Winehouse’s performance, one saying:

She was definitely the worst act of the day. Total rubbish and a complete waste of anyone’s time. What a contrast to her backing band who you had to feel sorry for”. Ouch!!

Winehouse is set to take a break now as we reported in an earlier article: Amy Winehouse Play $2 Million Dollar Gig Or Rest?

If her latest efforts are anything to go by, it seems a well earned break to rejuvenate is exactly what Amy needs – and maybe some pampering if Noel Gallaghers words are anything to go by!
