Kaiser Chiefs Give Limp Retort To Criticism

Rivalries between bands are few and far between these days. Normally no one wants to offend anyone else. Criticism

Now that the Gallagher’s (from Oasis) are back in town with a new album to promote, they are becoming more vocal on their disapproval of what they see as mediocre bands with mediocre music.

The Kaiser Chiefs have been on the end of some scathing dis-approvals from Noel Gallagher over the years and he was recently been quoted as saying that :

“The Monkees haven’t split up, they’re just going under the name of the Kaiser Chiefs. I did drugs for 18 years and I never got that bad as to say, ‘You know what? I think the Kaiser Chiefs are brilliant.’”.

It appears that the Kaiser Chiefs drummer, Nick Hodgson, is taking the slagging with a pinch of salt. Nick believes it is all just for the publicity and that it is “a bit of sport”.

The limply formed retort came after the band played their set at the V festival over the weekend.

I am sorry to say it Nick, but your music is crap and I’d be grateful if you could accept this article as a non-legally enforcing cease and desist. Thanks.

Noel Gallagher has also been outspoken against Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson recently, saying that Winehouse looks like a horse and Ronson should write some of his own tunes instead of ruining other bands work.

The Amy Winehouse horse gag cracks me up everytime.
