Uh-Oh! Pete Doherty Is To Make An Anti-Drug Documentary…

Pete DohertyI must say – channel 4 (UK) do push the boundaries. It has been announced that Pete Doherty will take the channel’s cameras to two estates in the UK to educate the population about kids who are addicted to Heroin.

The show will probably start of showing Pete all happy in the little mini-bus taking him to the first estate. He will then meet the locals as well as the drug dealer and it will all descend into a farce from there. I must praise the Editor of the show in advance as he is going to have a fun time editing the clips to ensure an educational and serious tone is held throughout.

The Daily Star is reporting that the singer will meet with youths from two estates – one in Manchester and the other in Sheffield. During his meet and greet he will visit a local pie and pastry factory – for a reason that is beyond you or I.

One can only imagine that this has something to do with the frontman’s latest trip to court on drugs charges. I am assuming, possibly incorrectly, that this could be community service based only on a grander scale. If it is nothing to do with court enforced punishment that I must give channel 4 some kudo’s for pulling this one off. Although I am sure Pete didn’t take much convincing seeing as how he was going to be taken straight to the Heroin – the old ‘dangling a carrot’ as it were.

I can’t wait to see this when it comes out.
