Get The New Nine Inch Nails Album For Free…
Nine Inch Nails have announced the free download of the first 9 tracks from their new album Ghosts. It has been widely reported that the band have provided the whole album for free but this is not the case.
The album is part of a 4 album set : Ghosts 1-4. They have provided Ghosts 1 for free.
The band should be commended for the options available to their fans. There are 5 options :
- $5 download of Ghosts 1-4 (36 tracks)
- Free download of Ghosts 1
- $10 2 CD set (Ghosts 1-4)
- $75 Deluxe Edition (Ghosts 1-4 on CD, Blue-Ray disk with High Def stereo)
- $300 Ultra-Deluxe Edition (Everything the Deluxe Edition has PLUS a data disk with all session music that you can load into Cubase to remix the album as you wish)
This is an awesome list for any fan to choose from. The Ultra Deluxe Edition blows my mind. To be able to load the original session music into Cubase to remix is unbelievable (but only to those who are into that sort of thing).
The only problem I have with all this is that the albums are INSTRUMENTAL.
Who wants an instrumental anything? If I want an instrumental album I’ll buy some Beethoven.
