Miss May I Drop Apologies Are For The Weak
Miss May I is a great band. I've known them for a few years, ever since 2006 if I remember correctly. I graduated high school with BJ Stead (guitar) and he was the one who turned me on to them. At this time, they were almost purely a screamo band. However, in the following years, they moved to a more thrash metal style, and the change, I believe, was well timed and well recieved. I have seen them play live numerous times, and they keep getting better. At concerts where they were only playing a short set, I've seen kids and fans come just for them. Recently, August 1, 2009, Miss May I headlined their first show in Dayton. I attended, and the place was packed. I know that numbers don't make a band great. But Miss May I gave the crowd a fantastic show. And I know that they give a great show no matter who's there. These men know exactly what they're doing and how to do it well, and I can only see a great future for them.
