Klaxons In No Rush To Release New Album

KlaxonsFans will have a little longer to wait for the new Klaxons album.

Klaxons member, Jamie Reynolds has revealed that the band haven’t even found a producer to work on the new album and that the finished product is in fact  along way off.

So far in fact he was estimating that we would not be hearing any new material until at least 2010.

Speaking to reporters Jamie said, “We’d really like to put out the first great record of the 2010s rather than the last great one of this decade. Now that’s become an aspiration and a goal.”

The band have been working on the album since July 2007.

This will be the Klaxons second album, after their debut release ‘Myths of the Near Future’ on 29th January, 2007.

The Klaxons debut album won the 2007 Nationwide Mercury Prize.

The London hailed band had used the services of  producer Tony Visconti in the early stages of recording but have since dissolved that relationship.

Seems until they decide on his replacement and get production started again we won’t be hearing from the Klaxons for a while.
