Rapper 50 Cent To Release Album Online
Rapper 50 cent has revealed he has a little surprise for fans online, in the form of a new album.
The new material is a mixtape called ‘War Angel LP’,will be available for download on fiddy’s website www.thsis50.com, from Tuesday (16.06.09).
Speaking about the new material, 50 said:
“I’m finnin’ to get on the street, you already know what time it is. My core audience will understand it immediately, and it’s written specifically for that.”
The mixtape album should keep fans happy, since the rappers new album ‘Before I Self Destruct’ was due for release last year but is still a work in progress! Reports suggest the newest date for the albums release in this September.
‘Before I Self Destruct’ will feature production from both Dr Dre and Timbaland.
If the album is due for a September release, then it will have to endure tough competition in the sales department with Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 is also due out this autumn.
Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 is set for official release on September 11th.
However, this won’t be the first time Fiddy has released an album against tough competition, as in 2007 both Fiddy’s album ‘Curtis’ and kayne West’s album ‘Graduation’ were released on the same date.
Kayne came out tops in that war, I’m just wondering who will win if there really is Jay-Z/50 Cent showdown?
