Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 Album Due Out Sept 11
Jay-Z’s upcoming album, Blueprint 3, will be released September 11 from Roc Nation and distributor Atlantic Records, according to Billboard, which cites “numerous sources.”
An announcement is expected from New York radio station Hot 97 on Sunday to confirm the release, during the station’s Summer Jam concert at Giants Stadium in New Jersey.
The news has already been confirmed by the Atlantic Records VP of Rap Promotions, Sam Crespo, who took to his Twitter feed yesterday, though the posting was removed a few hours after it was made available.
A blog posting at MissInfo.tv also posted the news, before it was promptly removed.
There is still a bit of dispute as to which label Jay-Z is switching over to – though Billboard stands by its repot that Roc Nation will be heading over to Sony via Epic.
Last week Hits Daily Double claimed that the rapper had been persuaded by Diddy to release this album under Warner Music Group.
It is, however, a fact that Jay-Z has left Def Jam, his longtime label – but he remains in control of his future master recordings.
