No Worries To Be Had Over Michael Jackson Shows

Randy Phillips, AEG Live president and CEO, said today that the UK tabloid reports claiming Michael Jackson told fans he only wanted to play ten London shows at the O2 instead of fifty were completely untrue.

According to The Sun, Jackson had told fans outside of a Los Angeles rehearsal studio that he was unhappy about having to perform at fifty shows rather than the ten he had expected.

The report was also mistaken in that Jackson had wanted to take his tour outside of London, says Phillips.

The CEO and president said in a statement:

“This is not true; Michael Jackson was thrilled at selling 50 shows. The size and scale of this show would not be possible without an extended run, which Michael has been fully on board with from the very beginning. He has not agreed to a world tour at this point, however, he can at any time.”

Though this report makes more sense, Jackson has not always been known for his common sense… Only time will tell what will happen in regards to Michael Jackson and his fifty-show run at the O2.
