Guitar Hero 5 Playlist Revealed
NME was excited to be the exclusive news source for the upcoming Guitar Hero 5 playlist – only, their playlist sort of lacked song titles and tended to focus on the artists that will appear on the video game’s next version.
Guitar Hero 5 will feature the digitalized talents of Arctic Monkeys, Nirvana, Blur, and Band of Horses.
The mix is rather eclectic, and I had to admit there were a few bands I wasn’t ever expecting to see on any video game – including Brand New and…Spacehog?!
Awesome!!
This version of the game is scheduled for worldwide release in the fall, and shall feature a motley list of current acts as well as classic rock names like Bob Dylan and Santana.
This may be the best one yet!

Great to have A Perfect Circle, Queen, Gorillaz, and Peter Frampton but how about some Godsmack?! Days Of The New, Incubus, Peter Gabriel, and Disturbed would be nice too! Strange mix but it would ROCK!!!!

Well they put on elton john for those of us that like playing all kinds of guitar music. Must be a great melody. And yayness for queen! They really need to do a special guitar hero: queen. I haven’t played them yet. And under pressure is my favourite song ever so I for 1 am very pleased with this line up. Can’t wait!
You Know What, They Should Just Make An Ipod Add On Conversion Thingy Or Something So We Can Just Play Our Own Songs. Theres Many Stupid Songs On The Previous Games That Just Bore Me To Death : )

We’ve had to watch guitar hero aerosmith, and van halen and metallica which are all good bands but don’t tell me that you’d much rather sing some shitty Elton john than shred some metal solos? A metal guitar hero is an amazing idea and u support it 100 percent. Definately needs a lot of killswitch engage and other stuff like five finger death punch and all that remains. All I’m saying is I feel like I’ve got a pair when I’m playing heavy stuff instead of 70s hippy crap.

guitar hero is meant for epic riffs, so why not fill the whole game with them? instead of filling it up with mediocre bands that half of us havnt even heard of.
we need GH heavy metal, or a GH that includes some cradle of filth, gwar, AC-DC, Nightwish(Phantom of the Opera), and Venom stuf like that even more metallica. METALLICA ROCKS
I like this line up. There is plenty of variety. I love heavy metal, but not everyone does, so they have mixed it up a bit! And if you like all those bands, Guitar hero 1,2 and 3 has alot of them on anyway… So play them!
