28-year-old rapper T.I. performed in Atlanta last night at the Phillips Arena, just two days before he was scheduled to be shipped off to prison, which will be his home for one year and a day.

The rapper, whose given name is Clifford Harris Jr., told the enormous crowd that he planned on staying optimistic on his way to serve his conviction for federal weapons charges: “I’m going to stand up tall, head up high. Thank you for all of your support.

In the 16,000 strong crowd there were many well-wishing signs held up for the rapper, which read things like “T.I. We Will Miss U!

On Tuesday the rapper must report to the Federal Correction Institution at Forrest City, Arkansas before noon. In 2007, T.I. was arrested after attempting to purchase some unregistered machine guns and silencers from undercover FBI agents. Entrapment anyone?

T.I. hopes that fans who get the itch to buy unregistered machine guns will learn from his mistakes, and he brought five of his kids out on stage for the performance.

The Grammy winner performed all of his hits for the crowd, and was joined at one point by young Soulja Boy onstage.

The rapper bid his fans see-you-later: “What I need y’all to do is pray for me while I’m gone. I’ll see y’all in 366 days.
