Michael Jackson Attends Only Two Tour Rehersals
With the “will he? won’t he perform?” saga still ongoing regarding Michael Jackson’s O2 Arena, London performances, comes the news that Jackson has attended only two rehearsals for his upcoming tour.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Jackson‘s fitness to perform the 50-date tour, originally set to begin on July 8th.
However, already Jackson has postponed the first four dates of the tour stating he needs more time to prepare for the events “size and scope“.
This gives rise to much speculation about whether the tour will actually take place at all.
With this news fans are understandably upset, with a source speaking to a British newspaper,
“The suggestion that they need more time to set up the show in London is a joke. I think the fans who have already bought tickets should hold their breath and cross their fingers, because there is no guarantee any of this is actually going to happen..”
“There is a possibility that this will still happen, but it is up to him to get his act together.”
“Michael has only been to two days of rehearsals for the show. His dancers have been working on it every single day for 45 days at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, but Michael has been nowhere to be found.”
Worrying news for all those who have bought tickets, but Jackson is sitting pretty with an estimated $85 million from ticket sales sitting in his bank account already.
Since the initial shows have already been posponed, London hotels are lapping up all that non-refundable deposit money.
