Kris Allen Wins Idol?!
So Adam Lambert seemed like a sure thing – I myself was wondering why Fox was bothering to air the Season Finale of American Idol at all; not only was Adam going to win by a landslide, but people are way more interested in Susan Boyle anyway.
But no, I was wronger than wrong and that little shrimp Kris Allen picked up the first ever American Idol Trophy (what? a trophy? weird).
I should have known, really: that little American pie was more Idol-fan friendly than Adam Lambert could ever hope to be.
Even with that incredible voice, Adam still showed up onscreen wearing platform boots (even if they were Kiss-costume-y, they were still platforms) – and who knows what really lies beneath all of that makeup.
And Kris Allen is button-adorable, and seems like your incredibly humble and sweet-natured neighbor.
Oh, yeah: and he’s a decent vocalist as well.
Simon Cowell may have found Kris Allen’s humility off-putting, but apparently Americans are into that sort of thing.
It seems the producers of the show didn’t have much faith in the singer, either – none of his solos were aired during the contest’s Hollywood Week, and his audition footage wasn’t seen in full until last night on the finale.
All season viewers were forced to watch the judging panel drool and pant over Adam Lambert, a disgusting display that may have enticed viewers to cheer even harder for the underdog, who never received the same kind of praise from the judges until it was apparent that he was going to be a finalist too.

I knew Kris was going to win by a landslide. He’s the all American boy. Kris’ voice is a lot more appealing to the masses too.
Hey MusicReviewZone! If you want to hear something funny, check out this song on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cw6mfaiyxSs
It’s called “Cyndi Lauper Said No.” It’s by a Canadian singer songwriter. Apparently, it’s a true story too.
You should file this under the “don’t get mad, get even” file.
Good for this guy to turn it around.
