Simon Votes Adam Lambert on Idol
Simon is putting his money on Adam Lambert to win it all on American Idol; the judge thinks that Lambert will take home the recording contract on this season’s television talent competition.
Simon Cowell, who joined Oprah for the entire length of her daytime talk show yesterday (which featured a tribute to television talent competitions around the world), told the host that he though Lambert would win because “he’s got swagger.”
The sinister producer and American Idol judge – who actually winked at Oprah at one point – also gave Lambert props for being fearless and unique.
But Simon’s been wrong before – he once admitted that he never saw the whole Kelly Clarkson thing coming.
Also on Oprah yesterday was 47-year-old internet sensation Susan Boyle, a competitor on Britain’s Got Talent who blew up overnight after surprising the audience and judging panel (which included Cowell) with the fact that she could actually sing.
Boyle informed Oprah that she is “loving every second” of her intense new fame.
Cowell wished Susan “best of luck” for the rest of the competition.
