Beyonce Wants a Two-Year Career Break
Singer and actress Beyonce Knowles has admitted she would like to take a two-year career break after she finishes her next tour.
The 27 year old, a self-confessed workaholic, wants more time to focus on her private life and marriage to US rapper Jay-Z.
She said, “My priorities are slowly changing. So after this tour I might be tired and want to take two years off. I’ve worked hard enough to be able to do that. I’m in a very good place.”
Could this mean that a Beyonce and Jay-Z want to hear the pitter-patter of tiny feet soon?
Rumours have circulated since the couples May 2008 wedding that they are about to start a family but any pregnancy rumours have so far remained just that..rumours!
Beyonce has previously admitted how hard it is to get time for her personal life and to enjoy settling down:
“We (Jay-Z and I) try to sync our calendars. I started working on my tour a year ago just to make sure that I had time at home.”
She continued, “Any other woman who has to go to work and pick up the kids and make dinner – that’s way harder than what I have to do. At least I can say I’m taking two weeks off and really take two weeks off.”
However, according to reports Beyonce may not adjust to taking a break from her hectic work schedule so easily.
The singers mother, Tina Knowles, who joins her on each tour has admitted she is often the one who has to tell her daughter to slow down and go to bed, saying, “I’m always the person to make her go to bed“
