Noel Wants Oasis ‘Swine-Flu’ Merchandise
Now i really have heard it all!
After Noel Gallagher caused major pig flu panic in a Venezuelan airport yesterday by sneezing without wearing a face-mask, he has been thinking of how he could cash-in on the whole Swine-Flu pandemic.
It seems Noel hadn’t realised how the scare of the illness had gripped the population and arrived to everyone wearing facemasks including both passengers and airport security guards.
Noel arrived in Venezuela yesterday shocked at their reaction to the recent flu outbreak and then received a worrying phonecall from his “mam“.
On his blog he wrote:
“Then if that wasn’t bad enough my mam called me at that very moment and tells me to be ‘careful’ or I WILL die of pig flu. I swear at that point I did a massive sneeze and the entire airport fell silent and started to stare!! I WANT A MASK!!! ”
Now, Noel who is currently touring South America with the rest of Oasis, has taken a liking to the facemasks being sported by millions and now wants one with the Oasis logo emblazoned across the front of it.
The Sun newspaper reported, “Noel thinks the face masks look amazing. He has been joking that he feels like a ‘James Bond’ baddie. He’s keeping his for the summer shows back in the UK.” – and just when we thought he couldn’t add to his ‘coolness‘
However, despite all the frivolity and talk of Oasis ‘swine-flu” merchandise, the bands management are understandably so worried about the Noel and co performing in infected areas that they have banned them from leaving their hotel rooms between shows.
Noel writing in his blog page again, “Ain’t got that pig flu yet. Give it time though.”
Now that’s what I would call true ‘rock n roll’ dedication to the fans!
