Judge Issues Restraining Order in Britney Case

It looks like the pressure to keep Britney from wreaking havoc on the streets of LA has caused the judge to issue a restraining order against Osama “Sam” Lufti, Britney’s former manager.

An attorney is also ordered to stay away from Britney; both men must steer clear of the star for the next three years.

The ruling was issued Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court by Judge Aviva K. Bobb, who favored the restraining order after hearing testimony and arguments from both sides during recent weeks.

Well, both sides meaning Lufti and his lawyer versus Jamie Spears and his legal team.

The judge ordered Lufti and attorney Jon Eardley to stay away from Britney, and not to contact, threaten, or try to act on her or her sons’ behalf during the course of the restraining order.

The judge refused to extend the order’s protection to include Spears’ parents.

Lufti and the attorney naturally plan on appealing the order, claiming that the case didn’t show that Lufti’s actions caused Britney any extreme stress, but instead only that she’d actually asked for help.

Lufti’s attorney Bryan J. Freedman whined, “Never before in the history of the world has a restraining order been issued against someone who merely responded to cries for help.”

And it probably has still never happened in the history of the world.
