World to Know About Lil Wanye’s Drug Habit

Lil Wayne will be unable to block the release of a documentary based on the rapper’s life, a state court judge ruled.

Lil Wayne sued the company QD3 Entertainment (which is owned by producer Quincy Jones III, yes – son of the Quincy Jones) as well as Digerati Holdings, claiming that the company failed to obey a deal that would have let the rapper have the final say on the documentary’s final version (reports Variety).

AllHipHop.com claims that Lil Wayne did not appreciate the scenes in the movie that showed the rapper using drugs.

The documentary follows the rapper around Amsterdam. Does anyone else find this absurd?

I seem to recall many a glossy magazine spread in which this particular rapper was blowing smoke rings at the camera lens.

Perhaps it has something to do with recent issues with the law.

As the lawsuit has it, after Lil Wayne’s manager reviewed the film, The Carter, in December he requested to have the scenes removed.

When the film was showed at the Sundance Film Festival, however, the scenes were still incorporated into the documentary.

The request denied was one for preliminary injunction, which would have kept QD2 from being able to distribute the film.

Oh, well, Wayne. I guess everyone is going to know that you’re a drug user now. Oh, wait….
