At Roskilde: Kanye, Nine Inch Nails, Oasis
On the headlining bill for the 39th annual Roskilde Festival in Denmark are Kanye West, Nine Inch Nails, Lil Wayne, Oasis, and Coldplay.
The festival, which will be going on July 2-5, is to take place in the city of Copenhagen.
The event, which has the longest history of any music festival in the world, will feature seven stages, and many more big name acts: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lily Allen, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Pet Shop Boys, Slipknot, Royksopp, The Mars Volta, and Gang Gang Dance.
As is trendy now a days, the festival will have a green theme that endorses saving the world from human activity, entitled “Green Footsteps.”
The idea behind the theme is to raise (even more) awareness on global climate change in the predicted 75,000 or so concert goers.
(Only) two of the festival’s stages will feature C02-friendly concerts – the Odeon and Sustainable Stages – and donations will be collected for environmental projects in India and Bangladesh.
If you want to fork over your US dollars for the event, expect to pay about $281. Tickets can be purchased through the festival’s official website.
