Blur are planning to warm up for their summer tour by playing a few intimate gigs in UK clubs.

So far the band have announced two of the dates set, being, East Anglian Railway Museum in Chappel, Colchester on Saturday 13th June and London Goldsmith’s College on Monday 22nd June. Although it is rumoured that more dates are planned and will be announced shortly.

Tickets for Blur fan club members are currently in sale.

This all comes in the wake of Blurs preparation for a host of summer festival madness with gigs planned at Hyde Park and headlining slots at Glastonbury, T In The Park and the Oxegen Festival his summer.

This will be quite literally music to Blur fans ears as the four piece band- Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree, just reunited in December 2008.

Blur frontman Damon Albarn appeared on stage with fellow band mate Graham Coxon at this years NME Awards at Brixton Academy in February.

This was the first time the two had appeared together on stage since 2000!!

Obviously realising they couldn’t stand to perform without each other anymore the Blur reunion was complete. How sweet!

And if all that’s not enough to satisfy your appetite for the Blur revival they are are booked to play at Manchester’s Evening News Arena on 26th June 2009. If Blurs past successes are anything to go by, i for one will be looking forward to hearing some of their new material.
