New Eminem Video Debuts on MTV

With his new single “We Made You” (the first official single from the upcoming album Relapse), Eminem declares his desires for Alaskan governor Sarah Palin and makes a rather unpleasant spoof of a slightly overweight Jessica Simpson in daisy dukes on the video that debuted on MTV on Tuesday.

The song and video don’t stop there either, with merciless mentions of celebrities like Kim Kardashian (who somehow took his portrayal of her huge pulsing rear as a compliment), and the lesbian relations between Lindsey Lohan and Samantha Ronson, as well as those between comedienne Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. (“Sorry, Portia, but what’s Ellen DeGeneres have that I don’t? Are you telling me tenderness?”)

With Dre behind the song’s heavy hitting beat (with an appearance in the video as well), the song’s chorus goes thus: “When you walked through the door, it was clear to me/ You’re the one they adore, who they came to see/ You’re a rock star, everybody wants you.

Eminem suits up in a few costumes for the shoot, including one as John Mayor singing to Jennifer Aniston (a bit outdated now), and one as Tony Romo getting dirty on the dance floor with Jessica Simpson. He also makes an appearance as Spock from Star Trek, and a K-fed who is still allowed to trail along with Britney.

The video is nothing if ridiculous, and Eminem has had plenty of better tracks, but it is slightly refreshing to have the little guy back on the rap scene making fun of what he portrays as a plethora of degenerate celebrities.
