Akon Wants Some Glastonbury Action
American R & B star Akon has announced that he would love to perform at this summers Glastonbury Festival.
The ever-modest Akon told sources that he feels he is up to the job and feels he would even outshine last years headliner, rapper Jay-Z.
He said: “I would love to do Glastonbury. I could put on a show to rival Jay-Z. I’ve been there before – but not as a performer. I love festivals.”
Already confirmed acts for this years festival include Bruce Springsteen, Blur and Neil Young.
Glastonbury organisers have revealed that they have been inundated with requests from performers, particularly from the US , wanting to take part in the 2009 Glastonbury action. Seems Jay-Z had quite an impact on the credibility of the festival.
Tickets for this years event set to take place are now completely sold out.
Official event organisers have thanked festival-goers on their website for their support and revealed that a limited amount of cancelled tickets for this year’s Festival will be sold on April 5th at 9am from www.seetickets.com/g2009.
If you want to buy tickets however you do need to register first by uploading your details and photo at www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk.
This summers Glastonbury Festival will take place from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th June 2009.
