Supergrass To Headline Sellindge Music Festival
Taking one further step towards greatness, Sellindge Music Festival, in Kent UK, has announced that one of this years headline acts will be Supergrass. Further acts are to be released over the coming weeks, but this is a huge announcement for the fledgling festival.
Managers of the event are said to be ‘thrilled‘ to have the enormously popular Supergrass gracing their stages with Benjamin Wells, the festival programmer having this to say:
“Supergrass are the perfect festival headliner; heroes whose music has earned them a following amongst all generations.”
The Pumping On Your Stereo pop rock band will take to the main stage on Saturday 6th June.
Some house/dance artists have already been confirmed:
- Cut La Roc
- Brandon Block
- Saman’i
- Eddy Temple Morris
- Mickey Slim
It’s one more step towards elbowing the big guys out of the road to edge their way into becoming a notch on everyone’s festival calendar and as everyone knows – this is not an easy task. The Glastonbury Festival takes place on 24th – 28th June and draws massive crowds each year with ticket prices being far from cheap. Sellindge Music Festival can certainly compete on price but until further acts are announced it remains to seen if they can compete on value. Glastonbury is guaranteed big headline acts, so if Sellindge is to compete for festival goers with their mightier foe, in tight economic conditions, then another big headline act will have to be announced.
The festival takes place on 5th, 6th, 7th June.
