Coldplay’s Ups, Downs, and Summer Tour
Coldplay joins the leagues of bands on tour this summer despite signs of a deepening recession, and they kick off their North American route on July 10 at the Amphitheatre at Clark County in Portland, Oregon. More dates are yet to be announced, with fourteen already scheduled.
Tickets for select shows (Toronto, San Diego, Charlotte, N.C. and Raleigh, N.C.) go on sale the 13 of February, and tickets for further shows (Tampa, Houston) can be bought on the 21 of this month. For all other dates, get your tickets on date night, February 14.
This Sunday (or, tomorrow) Coldplay is in the running for seven Grammy Awards (including album of the year for their release Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends and song of the year for “Viva La Vida”).
Before the Grammys are aired on CBS, Coldplay is to be featured on an episode of 60 Minutes.
Coldplay is about to be sued for copyright infringement by guitarist Joe Satriani, whose lawyer informed Fox news that he intended to serve the band the legal documents at the Grammys. And(!) the evil lawyer intends to film the band being served the paperwork, so now even the Grammys and Coldplay can be a part of the trashy reality television revolution sweeping the globe. Although the reasons the lawyer is going to such extremes is because he believes the band is deliberately evading him. Anyway, here are the Coldplay dates so far announced – get out there and support the band’s future legal fees!
