Radiohead and Kraftwerk to Tour – in Latin America

Radiohead has selected the German electronic band, Kraftwerk, to tour with them on a stint in Latin America that begins in mid March in Mexico City. Afterward, Kraftwerk is scheduled to play shows in Wolfberg, Germany on April 25-26.

Unfortunately, founding Kraftwerk member Florian Schneider has finally officially left the group, after a year of not joining the band’s other members on stage in 2008. The news comes via Kraftwerk’s official fan website. The only other remaining founding member of the band, Ralf Hutter, informed the New Zealand Herald in September that Schneider had been “working on other projects; technical things” during the past few years.

Schneider was replaced in 2008 with Stefan Pfaffe. Fritz Hilpert and Henning Schmitz sum up the rest of the band’s lineup.

These are the dates that Radiohead and Kraftwerk will be on tour together:

March 15-16: Mexico City – Foro Sol
March 20: Rio de Janeiro – Praca da Apoteose
March 22: Sao Paulo, Brazil – Chacara Do Jockey
March 24: Buenos Aires, Argentina – Club Ciduad
March 26-27: Santiago, Chile – San Carlos De Apoquindo
April 25-26: Wolfsburg, Germany – Altes Heizkraftwerk
