Marilyn Manson to Reunite with Dita Von Teese in Court
Marilyn Manson has turned in his witness list of those who will testify on his behalf in the courtroom vs. angry keyboardist Stephen Bier. The list includes Manson’s ex-wife Dita Von Teese, and Manson’s buddy/mentor NIN frontman Trent Reznor.
Bier, who was known as Madonna Wayne Gacy when he hung out with Manson, sued the singer for $20 million last year, because he claimed Manson had been skimming millions from the band’s revenue in order to buy drugs, Nazi paraphernalia, and an engagement ring for Von Teese. The stolen funds also allegedly bought the couple a wedding, the interior decorating inside Manson’s home (including a stuffed grizzly bear, a pair of baboons, the skeleton of a 4-year-old Chinese girl – you know, homey kind of stuff to match the Nazi paraphernalia).
Manson, known inside the courtroom as Brian Warner, countersued Bier in August, claiming that Bier had violated his contract and that Bier was merely a disgruntled ex-employee. Bier had left the band before Manson and co. began working on their sixth album, in 2005. The counter suing expedition is set to take the stage on February 2, with both Manson and Bier making personal appearances on the stand.
Reznor is expected to give a speech on the stand concerning his part in producing Manson’s debut album, which was released on Reznor’s label, Nothing Records. Von Teese is being called to inform the court about her and Manson’s personal life and marriage. I just hope Court TV plans on picking this one up.
