Taylor Swift: Still #1
With its third consecutive week at #1 on the Billboard 200 – and selling 330,000 domestic copies – Taylor Swift’s album Fearless is lording over big debuts from Keyshia Cole and Jamie Foxx, who came in at the #2 and #3 positions, respectively.
Cole didn’t do bad for her first week on the charts, though, coming in close behind Swift with 322,000 copies – her career best. The album, A Different Me, follows her 2007 album Just Like You, which also debuted at the #2 spot and sold 281,000 copies in its first week.
Jamie Foxx’s Intuition moved 265,000 units, and follows the album Unpredictable – released two years ago to the tune of 598,000 copies sold. That album debuted in the #2 slot, but moved to the top of the chart the next week.
Britney Spears slipped down the Billboard album chart this week, moving from #2 to #4. This week Circus managed to sell 196,000 copies. And even though Beyoncé’s sales are looking up, I Am … Sasha Fierce dropped from #3 to #5.
Fall Out Boy’s new one, Folie a Deux, entered the chart at #8. Their previous release, Infinity on High, entered the chart at the top, selling 260,000 copies. Folie a Deux only managed to move 150,000 in its first week.
