Liam Gallagher: Kings Of Leon Have Sold Out!
Speaking during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the Oasis frontman gave his opinion on the Kings of Leon‘s latest album Only By The Night.
Liam had this to say:
“I like Kings Of Leon, but I don’t know about this fucking new record, I like the old stuff. I like his voice. When they first come out I was going, Who the fuck is this? They were cool, and now they’ve all got their sleeves cut off.”
Liam believes that the Kings Of Leon are trying to emulate U2 – something I couldn’t disagree with more. The rough singer thinks that the Tennessee band have sold out and “gone for the bucks”.
The opinionated singer went on to reaffirm his favour of Kasabian and Arctic Monkeys as bands he likes.
Saying that the Kings of Leon are trying to simulate a U2 sound is like saying The Bee Gees and Guns N Roses sound alike. They just plain don’t.

Yeh he is a bit of a twat but I reckon he’s got it right this time. KOL’s new music, vocals, and image are totally different to what they used to be (not so long ago)- i hate to say it cos i love KOL so much but it stinks of sell out- sad

Yeah, Liam is stupid and all that. But actually I agree with him on this matter. Not that they’ve sold out but their last album was boring – not bad, just boring. Just like the last 3 or so U2 albums.
