Babyshambles Guitarist Arrested On Drugs Charges
The Babyshambles guitarist was arrested in Blackheath, London yesterday for a string of suspected drugs offences.
Mick Whitnall was held in custody yesterday and bailed earlier today, but must return in November to answer the charges and allow the police to make further enquiries surrounding the incident.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest making a statement to press confirming they had arrested a 39 year-old man at 4:20pm yesterday (12th October) in a café/bar on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs thought to be crack cocaine.
Whitnall’s home was then subject to a Police raid, where the police are said to have found rocks of crack cocaine.
This news comes after Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek announced that the band plan to get together to start working hard on their new album. Looks like those plans may have to be put on hold for a while.
Or maybe this is how he gets into the “right frame of mind”…
Am I just being rude when I say – Look at the state of him in the picture above?! He looks completely out of it and Amy Winehouse looks like she is pretty close behind. I just hope they live to see the day when they can look at these pictures and feel completely ashamed of themselves – ’cause there ain’t nothing cool about looking like that…
