Noel Gallagher Reveals Plans To Go Solo
Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has revealed that he plans to release a solo album.
Following the release of their 2008 album, ‘Dig Out Your Soul’, Noel said he felt it was time that all members of Oasis had time to develop their own “projects” whatever that may be.
And in keeping with the bands argumentative nature he pointed out that first of all the hardest thing would be getting them all to agree to the idea, saying:
“I’d like for us to do separate projects after this record. We’d all have to agree on it, so it will probably never happen. I’ve got loads of new songs. Somewhat predictably, they’re all brilliant.”
Forever modest Noel has had his plans on the back-burner for a while just writing away and now it seems he has more songs than he knows what to do with. Noel is responsible for at least 3 of the songs of the new Oasis album, including: “The Shock Of The Lightning’, ‘Falling Down’ and ‘Come On, It’s Alright’.
If you have so many songs, Noel, then just realise another Oasis album soon after Dig Out Your Soul. You are not tied to the marketing mechanisms and release schedules of your record label.
Awesome as a solo album would be – there really is no particular need for it – other than self grandeur.
