Oasis Rock Hard In Vancouver
The warm-up act of Ryan Adams‘ The Cardinals introduced Oasis with the title of “one of the best bands in the world”. How very gracious.
Oasis took to the stage in a manner they are renowned for: The Manc Walk.
Ok – so I just coined that phrase, but having been in Manchester a good few times I can testify to the fact that most of them believe they are messiahs to the people – and walk like they know it.
They kicked off the gig with “Rock N Roll Star” and smashed through classics such as “Cigarettes & Alcohol”, “Morning Glory”, “Don’t Look Back In Anger”, “Lyla” and “Supersonic” before closing the gig with “Champagne Supernova” and “I Am The Walrus”.
The band played some songs from their new album “Dig Out Your Soul“, due out October 6th.They played “The Shock Of Lightening“, “To Be Where There’s Life“, “Aint Got Nothin” and “Falling Down” – which is quite a good preview of the album.
