Ticket Scams Are On The Rise

The number of ticket scams to Festivals has risen dramatically over the last month according to Reports.

So far this month, Consumer Direct, the government’s advice service, has received 430 complaints in August alone, up a massive from 134 in July.

The news was published today, after the SOS Master Tickets disaster last week. Thousands of fans were left without tickets to the V-Festival last weekend, further to that thousands more are left without tickets to this weekends Madonna and George Michael concerts.

The company, SOS Master Tickets, took money from a lot of punters who thought they had bought tickets to see their favourite artists. Little did they know that it was a scam.

The company who allegedly operated from a North London address, are currently being investigated by Trading Standards, but trying to contact them, for your money back, will be a fruitless endeavour.

They are no longer online and phone lines are dead. During Festival Season, ticket scams seem to be becoming more and more prevalent. A worrying trend.

Recently we reported in our article:”U2 Warn Fans Of “Fake” Ticket Sales” how U2-front-man Bono had released a statement to fans warning them of fake ticket sales for U2 concerts.

Have you been affected by the ticket scams?
