Pete Doherty Misses BabyShambles Appearance

Pete Doherty missed his latest appearance with the Babyshambles all because he couldn’t make it to his flight on time.

The no-show from Pete took place at a Festival in Salzburg, Austria last Saturday, August 16th. But unlike previous events that have seen the band perform without Pete, they instead, spent their time apologising to fans and organisers, and did not perform.

The remaining Babyshambles members Mik Whitnall, Drew McConnell and Adam Ficek travelled separately from Pete and all made it to FM4 Frequency in Salzburg in good time for their appearance.

In a statement released by the band, Ficek said:

“Drew, Mik and myself can only apologise to those who came to see us today, Peter has missed the flight, we are in Salzburg, with no Peter. We will head to the festival and apologise on stage.”

Babyshambles are all set to play Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend, 22nd-24th August with Radio 1.

Lets hope Pete can make it there on time!

I’d be pretty annoyed if I turned up to a gig and the band didn’t play. It adds extra irritation when you picture the lead singer of the band in your head. I get an opinion of “he doesn’t really give a sh*t” when I look at Pete Doherty. That’s just my opinion though.

How’d you feel if this happened to you?
