Lily Allen Blames Record Company For Album Delay
The new album from Lily Allen is still a no-show on the release front.
The singer has spoken out and blamed her record company EMI, for the delay in the release of her second album entitled, ‘Stuck On The Naughty Step’.
The London-based singer, aired her grievances on the Lily Allen MySpace Blog, saying:
“The album – it has been finished for a while now, I don’t really know what’s going on with it. The record industry is a very political place at the moment and I am on EMI records, lots of people have been fired or have taken redundancy recently as the company was taken over by a private equity firm called Terra Firma”,
she continued:
“Many of these people were people assigned to my projects and now I don’t quite know what’s going on. I’m sure everyone will find their feet soon enough and I’ll be able to put the album out soon.”
Meanwhile one of the songs from the new album has been leaked online in order to give us a sneak preview of whats to come. The singer posted lyrics to the song ‘Fuck You Very Much’ on her MySpace Blog in June, but the full version is now available on YouTube to watch.
Take a listen here and see if the album is really worth the wait.
