Oasis Announce October UK Tour

Following the release of their seventh studio album in early October, Oasis will take to the road to serve all you UK dwellers with a feast of new material – and undoubtedly some “So, Sally can wait”…

Kicking off the tour on October 7th in Liverpool’s Echo Arena, the band will make their way south (through Sheffield, Birmingham) to London before looping up through Cardiff and Belfast to eventually end the tour in Glasgow (after a couple of nights in Aberdeen).

I must admit that this is a return which I am welcoming with open arms. I hope the guys can provide a proper Rock ‘N Roll album for us all to cling to as 2008 has not provided that many memorable moments so far.

I only wish that we had some prolific artists, that spent less time determining if one instrument more would add ‘another dimension’ to a song – than just putting records out in a quicker fashion.

If anyone has analysed The Beatles release schedule, they’d understand what ‘getting your sound out there’ really means.

Here is a list of venues that Oasis will play on their October tour:

  • Liverpool Echo Arena (October 7th, 8th)
  • Sheffield Arena (10th, 11th)
  • Birmingham NIA (13th, 14th)
  • London Wembley Arena (16th, 17th)
  • Bournemouth BIC (20th, 21th)
  • Cardiff International Arena (23th, 24th)
  • Belfast Odyssey Arena (29th, 30th)
  • Aberdeen Exhibition Centre (November 1th, 2th)
  • Glasgow SECC (4,th 5th)
