Michael Jackson: 50th Birthday = New Album

Michael Jackson is celebrating his 50th birthday in style…by releasing a new album! The new album will be called “King of Pop” and British fans get to choose the tracklisting.

Due for release on 25th August, the album will feature 18 tracks, derived from a list of 50 Michael Jackson classics such as ‘Billie Jean’,’ Off The Wall’, ‘Bad’ and ‘Thriller’.

Fans have until this Sunday (10th August) to get their votes in for the tracklisting they want. Voting can be done through either The Sun or The GMTV websites.

Some fans are questioning whether this can really be called a “new album” or yet again another compilation album from an old artist. I know I won’t be picking up the album just because I got to vote on one of its songs. It’s pretty dumb and pretty desperate in my opinion.

However, if you’re an avid Jackson fan, then you can get voting for your favourite tracks. Below is a listing of the songs available for selection:
