Obama Raps Ludacris Over His New Single
Candidate for the next US presidency, Barack Obama has spoken of his opposition for the new Ludacris track “Politics”.
In the song, whose full title is “Politics (Obama Is Here)”, Ludacris is heard to slate Obama’s Democratic rival Hilarty Clinton, Republican candidate John McCain and the current US President George Bush. Some of the worst lyrics include Luda rapping “Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant”. Maybe a little harsh.
In a statement released today, from Obama’s team, he is quoted as saying:
“This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend (Jesse) Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual, he should be ashamed of these lyrics”.
Obama has previously expressed his liking for Ludacris’ music, with Rolling Stones magazine reporting that both Ludacris and Jay-Z feature on Obama’s ipod.
Somehow i think this latest offering by Ludacris might not see the top of the Obama’s playlist – but the man is bound to have a few cheeky listens to it now and again? Mustn’t he? – it’s a good tune!
