36 Countries And Counting For Coldplay

Viva La Vida has been on the market just over 4 weeks and it has hit the number 1 spot on the album chart in 36 countries.
Thats a mean feat.
Some of those countries include :

- Japan
- Germany
- Holland
- Portugal
- Ireland
- Italy
- New Zealand
- Australia
- Norway
- Belgium
- Canada
Sales of this album have are expected to exceed that of X&Y, the bands last album which hit number 1 spot in 32 countries.
Viva La Vida has become the biggest selling DIGITAL album in the US. Most of these sales have originated from iTunes, were it has become the largest selling album in its first week.
This is all impressive stuff from an album that I deem to be quite some distance short of X&Y in terms of originality and distinction. Maybe the world just can’t get enough of these guys.
