Bros: When Will I Be Famous – Again?
The last time I said ‘shoot me’ was when I heard that the New Kids On The Block Are Back.
Well, it turns out that I was a little premature. I should have held out for an even more noteworthy reason to get blown away.
Bros, the band that owes you nothing, nothing at all – has started dropping terrible hints that they are reforming. This was announced on the BBC’s Radio 1 show this morning.
“If we can make the numbers work and the venues work, we’re all up for it, being in a band is like being a politician, you’ve got to make sure everyone is happy.” said Matt Goss, twin to brother Luke.
The guys seem to remember their ‘legion’ of fans always having a good time at their gigs and decided that it’d be a ‘a good laugh’ to be touring again. I just hope they realise that that legion of fans are now in their mid-late forties – I am sure a lot of their youthful vigour has since dwindled.
The boyband had hit singles with ‘I Owe you Nothing’, ‘When Will I Be Famous’ and ‘Cat Among Pigeons’.
Do you remember Bros?
Would you pay to see them again?

Lately there are a lot of elder bands reforming together – I think it is a trend Modern Talking started years ago – Back For Good, yeah right – but there could have been previous bands too. Unfortunately for me, never a band I like got reformed (yet – reunions excluded).
Bros… In Belgium we even named a hairdo to them – like on the picture: een broske. Well, een broske is out of fashion – and their music too. And there is no way I’ll be paying to see some (elderly) brothers singing on stage.
And does anybody know a band that had won their success back? Not me… And when I’ll be saying ‘Shoot me’ will be the day that either The Jacksons are back or Milli Vanilli. And when they do I really hope that someone really does shoot me (in the leg – MJ is in case of everything at the moment so I don’t take the chance).
@MusicBlogger:
lol. Yeah – you never can tell who will be the next washed up band to rise from the dust!
