Radiohead Didn’t Want To Headline Glastonbury
Michael Eavis, the organiser and visionary of the Glastonbury Festival, has revealed that Jay-Z is headlining this year because Radiohead declined the offer.
In a shocking revelation, that will surely leave Jay-Z slightly disgruntled, Eavis intimated that Jay-Z was not his original choice for headlining act.
Festival regulars and die hard fans are in uproar that a rapper is headlining the festival as they believe it goes against all that Glastonbury stands for. They’d much prefer Coldplay, U2 or Radiohead instead.
In an attempted retraction Eavis went on to state how Jay-Z was a good choice as fits with the festivals ethos. He went on to say :
A lot of people don’t understand why Jay-Z is headlining but they haven’t seen him live. He is phenomenal. Every time someone comes to this festival they discover new music – this year it will be a headliner.’
Either which way people look at it – Jay-Z is headlining when the festival comes round later this month. If I was attending – I’d rather go without the hatred and try to enjoy myself, instead of bickering about it – but that’s only my two cents.
