Bon Jovi Had A Bit Of A Scare
Not content to allow Bon Jovi to ruin the Bank Atlantic Center in Florida via drummed up and excited fans going crazy for their Rock idols, a lunatic called in a bomb threat on Saturday before the show was about to kick off.
The center had to be evacuated while Police sniffer dogs searched the premises as the legion of fans waited patiently outside with nothing but a hope ( I could have written : living on a prayer – but you’d have hated me for that) that they’d get back in to see the show.
The evenings festivities were meant to start at 7:30pm but the fans had to wait an extra 2 hours to get back in – with Bon Jovi taking the stage at 10:30pm.
In a refreshing tone Bon Jovi addressed the crowd with :
“I want to thank you for sticking around. It’s sad but true but we now have to be aware of our surroundings. When the call came in during sound check, the police chief said it was serious. I want to thank the men and women in the police department.”
Alas the crowd got their show and undoubtedly were not disappointed.
