Madonna Has An E-zy Time Of It
Music-news.com is reporting that Madonna has just announced that she has taken an ecstasy tablet before. The Material Girl made her grand announcement at the ceremony to induct her into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.
I don’t know what is worse about this report. The fact that Madonna thought that it’d be cool to admit she used to/takes ecstasy or the the fact that she has just been enlisted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame.
Madonna is soooooo crazy bad to have taken an ‘e’. I am sure half of the industry lives on them. Pete Doherty probably doesn’t take them because they aren’t strong enough. She also went on to say that she “smoked a joint” with Liz Rosenberg (who? = her publicist) when they first met.
I am not sure what point, if any, the singer was trying to make. Drug use is not funny, cool or should ever be hip. To just flippantly drop this information into “one of the longest speeches in the ceremony’s history” shows a complete lack of responsibility to her young fans.
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame?
Madonna? Surely I am missing something. Nothing rocks or rolls about/in Madonna’s music – so what is she doing getting voted in?

Around 1,000 experts, including journalists, music industry professionals and academics vote on nominees – selected by a committee of music historians – based on their influence and significance on rock and roll music.
Right…. So what part of that indicates Madonna as a candidate? Who are these “experts” and “music industry professionals” and what do “academics” have to do with Rock and Roll music? Elvis won’t be rockin and rollin his Hula Baby at this news.
The experts can’t even say that she deserves her spot because of the length of her career because that’s what the never wanted “Lifetime Achievement Award” is for. They have just ruined the credibility of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
